Hernan Crespo will play for Chelsea next season, according to the player’s agent.

Crespo, 29, spent last season on loan at Milan and has stated his desire to remain in Italy.

Milan have since signed Christian Vieri from rivals Inter, while Chelsea have struggled to bring in a new striker.

But Fernando Hidalgo told the Daily Mail: “Hernan will play the next season with Chelsea and he wants to have as good a season as he had at Milan.”

Crespo seems unhappy at the prospect of a return to London.

“I’m having the worst summer of my life because I don’t know at what club I will be at in two weeks time,” he had said.

“Since losing the Champions League final the only good thing that has happened has been my wedding.”
