Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini fears Olivier Dacourt could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Dacourt suffered the injury in last weekend’s win over Fiorentina after undergoing a scan the diagnosis looks worse than initially feared.

“It is a real blow because we thought he’d be out for six weeks at most, but instead he looks set to miss the whole campaign,” said Mancini.

“Unfortunately Dacourt’s injury is a bad blow. I wish him all the best; he’s an extraordinary man and an excellent player. We will miss him.”

Mancini is also unsure when fellow French midfielder Patrick Vieira will play again, with the former Arsenal man still unfit after being out for 7 weeks.

“Vieira has been out for 50 days and we don’t know when he will be back,” concluded Mancini.
