Real Sociedad midfielder Javier de Pedro has revealed his frustration at the ongoing speculation linking him with a move away from the Basque club.

The Spanish international winger has been linked with a move to The Premiership, but de Pedro insists he is focused on regaining his place in Sociedad’s first team.

“I am a Real (Sociedad) player until June 30, and I ask that today (Thursday) might be the last day we talk about this (speculation),” he stated.

“It bothers me that every day we are talking about the same thing.

“If people want to talk about the next game against Espanyol, we can talk, but talking about this is not good for me, the club or the team.

“We have to focus on the team, and not spend every day discussing whether Javi de Pedro is coming or going.

“It’s getting tiring, and there are six other players (at Sociedad) who have still to renew (their contracts).”
