Germany international midfielder Sebastian Deisler says he is determined to establish himself at Bayern Munich after a troubled period at the club since his move from Hertha Berlin.

The 25-year-old joined Byern three years ago, but a combination of injury and illness have restricted his impact, prompting speculation that he may leave the Bundesliga champions this summer.

“I will definitely be staying at Bayern,” he affirmed.

“It’s a super club and I’m really looking forward to playing for them.”

Deisler is looking forward to putting his troubles behind him and set his sights on securing a place in Germany’s World Cup squad.

“The World Cup is looming and I can’t be happy with sporadic club appearances,” he admitted. “But I’m still confident.

“If you manage to establish yourself in the first team at Bayern Munich then everything else just follows naturally.”
