Vicente del Bosque has confirmed that Spain will be his last job as a coach as he plans to retire when he leaves the post, but he admitted that he does not know when that will be.
The 58-year-old took over from Euro 2008 winner Luis Aragones and as managed to maintain Spain’s form.
But when he decides that he has taken the side as far as he can, then Del Bosque will retire from coaching and not seek to take over at a club side.
“It will be the last one. We don’t know how long it will last, but that it will be the last is certain,” he told AP.
“I have had great periods, as a player, working with youth teams, as a coach and now this latest one. Definitely, I have no doubt about it, but I don’t know when it will finish.God will decide.”
Del Bosque spent the majority of his playing and coaching career at Real Madrid and his only other stint as a boss was with Besiktas, whom he took over in 2004 for one year.
