Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has revealed his frustration at being dropped by Italy coach Roberto Donadoni.

Del Piero was not in the squad for Italy’s recent Euro 2008 qualifying win in Georgia.

“My will to play has never left me,” explained Del Piero. “Being in the stands bothers me.

“There will be plenty of time to talk about this. Am I angry? Sure.”

Juve coach Didier Deschamps believes that Del Piero has regained his appetite for the game.

“Ale feels good and he’s regained the will to play. I respect Donadoni,” said the French coach.

“I’ve spoken with Del Piero but things are different between Juve and the national team.”
