Juventus have been dealt a blow as Alessandro Del Piero has been ruled out for at least a month.

The Juve captain went down in obvious discomfort during today’s training session at Vinovo.

Juventus have now confirmed the player will be out for at least five weeks.

A statement on the club’s official website reads:

“During the training session, Del Piero complained of some pain in the middle area of his left leg.

“The captain underwent tests straight away and the results have shown a first-second degree injury on his adductor muscle.

“A rest period of 30-40 days is predicted.”

It’s a major blow to the Bianconeri as their captain had only just recovered from a previous injury.
