Didier Deschamps says he will stay at Juventus despite being linked with a move to Lyon.

Reports in France suggested that Lyon are considering a move for Deschamps as doubts continue to surround the future of Gerard Houllier at Lyon.

However, the former Monaco coach insists he has no plans to quit Juve, where he has a contract until the summer of 2008.

“I cannot say that playing in the Champions League doesn’t interest me,” Deschamps told French radio station RMC.

“It is something important, I have already tasted it with Monaco, but I already have an objective with Juve and I want to stay next season.”

Deschamps is close to guiding Juve back to promotion to Serie A and the club are keen to keep hold of the Frenchman.
