Former France and Juventus legend Michel Platini believes that Didier Deschamps is not ready to take over at The Bianconeri, should Marcello Lippi quit the post.

The Monaco boss has been constantly linked with a return to Stadio delle Alpi if, as has been mooted, Marcello Lippi quits.

However, Platini believes that his compatriot lacks the experience to coach such a high profile club

“Managing a team like this (Juve) is difficult,” Platini told L’Equipe.

“It’s one thing training Monaco and quite another one coaching Juve.

“Deschamps isn’t ready for Italy.

“I think he will be in two or three years’ time.”
