Milan remain optmistic that Dida will be fit to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League second leg next week.

The Brazilian suffered an ankle injury in the first leg and there were fears that he might miss the return leg, but doctors believe he should be fully recovered by then.

“Dida feels a lot better, his recovery time is better and there is hope we will see him on the pitch against Bayern Munich,” said club doctor Jean-Pierre Meersseman.
