Everton have declined to comment on reports that Joleon Lescott did not train with the first-team squad on Wednesday.
It has been suggested Lescott did not train with his team-mates ahead of Thursday’s Europa League play-off with Sigma Olomouc at Goodison Park.
Lescott, who is a target for Manchester City, has already seen a written transfer request rejected by the Toffees.
An Everton spokesman said: “We will not be making any comment on this.”
