Wayne Rooney says Manchester United will be treating each of their remaining games of the season like a cup final.

United have only six games left in their season, but are in contention to emulate the treble triumph they enjoyed in 1999.

Rooney’s brace gave the Premiership leaders a 3-2 over Milan on Tuesday, while they actually have a FA Cup final next month against Chelsea at the new Wembley.

“You definitely sense when there’s a good mood in the dressing room – and the team spirit has been good all season,” he told The Sun.

“It’s weird, because there are so many games and they all come around so quickly, you don’t really have a lot of time to think about it.

“You finish one game and you’re straight into the next one.

“We know that every game now – whatever the competition is it in – is like a cup final. It’s make or break so we have to keep winning matches.”
