Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano is facing two weeks on the sidelines after suffering a leg injury.

The Brazilian international has torn a muscle in his right leg and has been told by Sevilla’s medical team that he will be out of action for up to 15 days.

Fabiano will now miss Sevilla’s Uefa Cup first round second leg against Salzburg on Thursday and he is also expected to sit out scheduled La Liga meetings with Athletic Bilbao and Almeria.

The news will come as a blow to Sevilla and also Brazil, who will now be forced to do without the services of the forward, who has scored 11 goals in 22 international appearances.
