Milan coach Leonardo has claimed the club are ‘closer’ to signing Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
Milan have identified the Brazil international as a transfer target as they look to strengthen their attacking options following the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid.
It has been reported that Sevilla will sell for Fabiano’s £26million release clause, although Milan are said to be reluctant to pay such a fee.
However, Leonardo is confident a deal could be in the offing.
He told Mediaset: “Luis Fabiano is closer. Only the last details need to be put together.
“I’m satisfied with the team I have, but should another player arrive, I would be really happy.”
