Arsenal says Cesc Fabregas will be out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Spain midfielder picked up the injury during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Sunderland.

Arsenal has received the results of a scan Fabregas had on Monday and says the player “will be out for two to three weeks.”

Fabregas did not start in Arsenal’s first two games of the season as manager Arsene Wenger gradually reintroduced the midfielder back to first-team action after his World Cup endeavours.
