Two Albacete fans have been fined $7,900 by Spanish authorities and banned from stadiums for five months for racially abusing Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o.
The two fans, whose names were not released, were identified by police after spectators complained about them.
Earlier this week, the Spanish soccer federation fined Albacete almost $800 and last Friday, UEFA fined Real Madrid more than $13,000 after their supporters directed racist abuse at several members of the Bayer Leverkusen team during a Champions League tie between the two teams.
