FIFA have given Fulham 30 days to pay Lyon the money owed for the signing of striker Steve Marlet.

The French international forward joined Fulham in August 2001 for €18 million, but the Premier League club have refused to pay the full amount (an additional €4.57 million) because they claim that the outstanding money will go to an agent.

Fulham have no option but to make the payment or face sanctions from FIFA, which would see the club banned from buying players until the money is paid to Lyon.
