A players’ agent has become latest person charged in a fraud and bribery trial in Belgium.

Two Belgian newspapers, La Derniere Heure and Het Laatste Nieuws, said the agent was a 28-year-old man from Namur.

He is accused of trying to bribe two CS Bruges players during a first division match, although according to the public prosecutor they refused to do so.

The other three accused to date are La Louviere president Filippo Gaone, club lawyer Laurent Denis and another football agent, Pietro Allatta.
