Fiorentina’s hopes of avoiding relegation have received a setback with the news that striker Fabrizio Miccoli willl be out for three weeks.
The striker has picked up an Achilles tendon injury that will keep him out of action at a critical stage of the season.
Miccoli’s absence gives coach Dino Zoff a major headache up front. The former Italy coach is already without his leading scorer Valeri Bojinov.
