Fulham have denied making an appproach to France Under-21 coach Raymond Domenech about the possibility of succeeding Jean Tigana.

Domenech claimed he had been made an offer by the Premiership club.

“It’s true,” Domenech told L’Equipe newspaper.

“It’s an interesting offer and I have not closed the door. I am ready to talk about it. “One of the reasons is that it is maybe time to test on the field the knowledge I have accumulated as coach at the national coaching centre.”

But Fulham’s controller of public affairs Chester Stern issued a swift denial of the report.

“We have categorically made no official approach to anyone,” Stern said.
