Fulham have lodged a formal complaint to the Football Association over Luis Boa Morte’s allegations that Everton’s Duncan Ferguson racially abused him.

The Everton striker has denied the allegation, which alllegedly occurred during the clubs’ FA Cup fourth round tie at Goodison Park on 25 January.

Ferguson’s legal advisor Kevin Dooley said: “We refute the allegation completely, there’s no truth in it.”

The FA had written to Boa Morte requesting a “full explanation” of his accusations which appeared in the press more than a week ago.
