Fulham’s plans for the new season have been hit by the news that defender Philippe Senderos has been ruled out of action for six months.
The Swiss defender suffered the blow in training on Monday, and will now undergo an operation in Finland.
The 25-year-old was brought to Craven Cottage by ex-manager Roy Hodgson and he was expected to start the new Premier League season alongside Brede Hangeland.
“It’s incredible bad luck for Philippe. A hard blow to him personally, for the club, but also for the Swiss national team,” said Swiss boss Ottmar Hitzfeld.
