Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has admitted he would be tempted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League and revealed there is a pact between his club and Real Madrid not to sign players from each other.

The 25-year-old French international, who starred for the host nation at Euro 2016, said there was no chance of him signing for Real Madrid, and that he was not interested in playing in France, but would consider a switch to the Premier League.

“It’s true that I love to win titles…but I couldn’t go to Real Madrid, not with the rivalry that exists and there’s also a pact between the clubs,” Griezmann explained in an interview with Telefoot.

“Right now I feel great at Atletico, my goal is not to leave Atletico immediately.

“PSG are an interesting team but I don’t want to play in Ligue 1, I prefer it here in Spain or in the Premier League.”

Having joined Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014, Griezmann has emerged as one of Spanish football’s leading marksmen. Speculation has been rife about a possible move to Manchester United, ever since the forward revealed he would like to play alongside Paul Pogba at club level earlier this month.
