Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has refused to be drawn on his interest in Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The defending champions had a bid for the Spain midfielder turned down in the summer, but rumours of a fresh bid persist.
Fabregas is thought to remain keen on a return to the Camp Nou, where he began his youth career, but Guardiola does not want to comment on the speculation.
The Barcelona boss told Sky Sports News when asked about the subject: “It’s a good question. Goodbye.”
Barcelona have struggled to reproduce their smooth style so far this season and they sit in fourth position in the league and three points behind leaders Valencia. But Guardiola is confident his team will eventually come good.
“Barcelona have a good team,” he said. “But Barcelona can lose.
“It is OK. We are going to be fighting at the end of the season.
“I think we are playing well and will keep going and at the end we will see who is the best.”
