Struggling Bundesliga side Hanover 96 have hired former Ewald Lienen to replace Ralf Rangnick.

Lienen, the former coach of Borussia Moenchengladbach coach, has agreed a deall until JUne 2005.

Hanoverare 15th in the table, just one point clear of the relegation zone, after losing 1-0 to Moenchengladbach on Saturday.

Rangnick on Sunday became the seventh Bundesliga coach to lose his job this season.

Ironically, Lienen lost his job at ‘Gladbach in September after they lost to Hanover.
