Hansa Rostock have confirmed Jorg Berger as their new coach.
Berger has been appointed to replace Juri Schlunz, who quit from the post on Sunday after a 6-0 home mauling by Hamburg, which left the club rooted to the foot of the Budesliga.
The 60-year-old, who last season guided Second Division Alemannia Aachen to the German Cup final, has acquired a reputation for saving teams from the drop
He has signed a contract until the summer of 2006.
