Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has admitted that he is still some way from agreeing a new contract with the London club.

Henry announced last month that he wanted to stay at the club, but he admitted to French daily L’Equipe that he has yet to agree a new deal.

“We are still talking. Nothing new,” Henry said. “I want to concentrate on football. I would prefer to talk about Arsenal’s great performance [against Real Madrid].

“I hope my future will be settled before the World Cup. Honestly, I don’t know if I will stay or leave. I am in talks but, above all, I focus on the pitch.

“I have always stated Arsenal are the club of my heart. Whatever happen, that will never change.”
