The three Hertha Berlin players named in connection with the German match-fixing scandal have taken legal action against magazine Focus.

Nando Rafael, Josip Simunic and Alexander Madlung have taken the action after being named by the magazine in connection with the scandal.

Focus reported that the two Croatian brothers who were arrested on a tip-off from disgraced referee Robert Hoyzer had named the Hertha trio.

Madlung and Croat Simunic admit they went to the ‘Cafe King’ owned by the brothers but deny that they were involved in any way wth the betting scandal. Angolan Rafael denies ever going to the Berlin Cafe or participating in match-fixing
