Ottmar Hitzfeld blasted his Bayern Munich side after they crashed out of the German Cup against Division Two side Alemannia Aachen.
Bayern crashed out of the quarter-final stage following a surprising 2-1 defeat at Alemannia Aachen.
“I am extremely disappointed. We have embarrassed ourselves,” Hitzfeld raged.
“We had already been lucky to equalise after a very poor first half where Aachen had plenty of chances and although our game improved a bit in the second period, we made some errors in defence which finally cost us the victory.”
Bayern were held to a disappointing 1-1 at Frankfurt when the Bundesliga resumed last week and they currently stand in third place, six points behind leaders Werder Bremen.
