Gerard Houllier has denied reports claiming he is interested in signing Djibril Cisse amid reports Lyon have bid for his Liverpool team-mate Milan Baros.
Lyon have money to spend followig the sale of Michael Essien to Chelsea and are looking to bring in a new striker.
There has been speculation that Houllier, who signed Cisse for Liverpool from Auxerre last year, wants to bring the striker back to France.
“Do the English press speak about Cisse?” asked Houllier. “They are wrong.”
Houllier has also been linked with a swoop for Tomas Rosicky and he admitted the Borussia Dortmund playmaker is a target.
He added: “Rosicky? They are not false [rumours].”
