Hernan Crespo has dismissed criticism of Internazionale, following their 1-0 win over Roma.

The Argentinian striker scored his first goal of the season in the victory, and he hopes the result will quell the rumblings of discontent that have been rumbling around the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this season.

“We didn’t listen to the criticism before the match, we were peaceful,” Crespo stated.

“We played really well. It isn’t easy winning away against a good Roma side. We showed what we are capable of.

“Everyone in the side took responsibility and they have to do that.”

Assistant coach Sinisa Mihajlovic praised the team’s strength.

“Roma didn’t give us much trouble, while we missed a penalty and created a lot of chances,” Mihajlovic reflected.

“We are pleased as well because we didn’t concede. The whole team played well.”

The victory took Inter up to third place in Serie A, two points behind early pacesetters Palermo.
