Internazionale have dismissed reports that they linking Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs with a move to the San Siro.

Inter were frequently linked with a move for Giggs during the transfer window, but in Uruguayan striker Alvaro Recoba, the Serie A side believe they have a player of comparable ability and perhaps more importantly, one significantly younger than the 29-year-old Manchester United man.

‘He (Giggs) is not in our future plans because Alvaro Recoba is younger and potentially stronger in that role,’ Inter’s technical director Gabriele Oriali told Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Giggs meanwhile, whose form has been patch this season, has always maintained that he wants to finish his career at Old Trafford.

‘When I signed my contract last year I said I wanted to finish my career at United,’ Giggs told his official website.

”That is the end of the story as far as I am concerned. I still have four years left on my present contract and I am quite happy.’
