Inter moved three points clear at the top of Serie A after they beat Reggina 3-0 while their arch-rivals Milan were stunned by Perugia.

Christian Vieri put Inter ahead when he volleyed home on 10 minutes before being forcedoff with a knee injury midway through the first half. The injury makes the Inter striker doubtful for Wednesday’s friendly international against Portugal.

Vieri’s replacement Mohammed Kallon made it 2-0 from close range on 39 minutes and completed the scoring three minutes later from the penalty spot.

Perugia striker Miccoli who has been called up for Wednesday’s match with Portugal, accounted for Milan with a thunderous strike fromoutside the penalty area on 36 minutes.

Inter lead with 45 points from Milan and Juventus – who defeated Empoli 1-0 on Saturday – three points adrift.

Fourth-placed Lazio dropped off the pace after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by relegation-threatened Torino.
