Inter president Massimo Moratti claims he is yet to approach Lazio with regard to Goran Pandev.

The Macedonian forward is currently out of favour in Rome after telling the club that he wants a move.

With his contract at Stadio Olimpico set to expire next summer, Lazio are expected to cash in while they still can.

That has led to speculation that Pandev could be on his way to Inter in the January transfer window.

Moratti, though hinted that his side would rather wait until the end of the season before making their move.

“Pandev is a name that I read a lot in the press,” Moratti told Inter’s official website.

“But up to now, I have had no dialogue regarding Pandev with club executives.

“Pandev is a great player and next year I would gladly go and see him play.”
