Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has attempted to play down the speculation linking Real Madrid striker Ronaldo with a return to the club.

Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Giuseppe Meazza, and in recent weeks there have been reports that he could leave Madrid with his compatriot Adriano going the other way.

“Once it was said that Ronaldo would have never left,” Moratti told Radio Rai.

“So now, if it was said that it is impossible that he will return, it could mean that anything is possible.

“However, he isn’t in our plans.

“Many things would have to happen to put us in the position to agree to sign him.

“We would need to be sure of his will, and his physical form, and, from the class point of view, what Ronaldo could give us.

“It isn’t impossible, with Real we have always made interesting exchanges.”
