Inter have signed Cameroon defender Pierre Wome on a free transfer from Brescia.

Wome, 26, has signed a one-year deal with the Milan-based club.

“Wome has been one of our objectives for several months,” Inter technical director Marco Branca told the club’s website.

“So we are pleased we have done a deal that is technically useful for the team and economically in line with the club’s project.

“He is still a young player but he has the right Italian and international experience to best settle down into Roberto Mancini’s squad,” he said.
