Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has challenged Ronaldo to recreate his World Cup form when he tunrs out for Inter next season.

“Like all Inter fans, I was greatly moved by his success, but now he has a duty to win us the Scudetto,”said Moratti.

“He is definitely staying with us, there’s no reason to think otherwise,” said Moratti, who jhad hinted before the World Cup began that Ronaldo was available for transfer.

Inter coach Hector Cuper echoed his president’s thoughts.

“Ronaldo played a great World Cup. I’m happy and proud of him,” he said.

“It has been Ronaldo’s tournament and now we are counting on him for a big season.”

Ronaldo finished as top scorer at the World Cup, netting eight goals in seven matches. After missing almost three years through injury, the Nrazilian’s return to fitness was arguably the story of the tournament.
