Milan left back Marek Jankulovski has undergone surgery after injuring his right knee in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat by Empoli.
The club Web site said it would take a few days to asses how long the Czech international would be out for but Italian media said it was likely to be around 6 weeks.
Jankulovski is a member of the Czech Republic side that has already qualified for Euro 2008.
