Danish international midfielder Daniel Jensen has joined Werder Bremen, signing a four-year deal with the German champions.

Jensen move from Spanish club Real Murcia, who finished bottom of Primera Liga last season.

“We are happy that we now have in our ranks another young player who played a good part in the European Championship in Portugal,” Werder’s sport director Klaus Allofs said in a statement.

Werder have already signed Germany striker Miroslav Klose, defender Frank Fahrenhorst and Brazil defender Gustavo Nery from Sao Paolo in the close season, as they seek to make an impact in next season’s Champions League.

Jensen’s older brother and fellow Danish international, Claus, already plays in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.
