Brazilian striker Jo has linked up with Everton at their Scottish training camp ahead of a likely loan move being agreed with Manchester City.
Jo, who scored five goals in 11 games on loan at Everton last season, is expected to agree a season-long loan to the Goodison Park club confirmed shortly.
Jo turned up at the club’s Finch Farm training ground yesterday for medical tests and travelled to their four-day training camp later in the day with boss David Moyes’ squad.
Jo moved to Everton last season in the January transfer window, and with City having an abundance of strikers, including Craig Bellamy, Roque Santa Cruz and Robinho – plus the expected arrival of Carlos Tevez – Jo will find few chances to figure in Mark Hughes’ first team next season.
At the end of last season Moyes confirmed that Everton could not afford to match the £18million City paid CSKA Moscow for Jo last summer.
