PSV Eindhoven have confirmed Martin Jol is a candidate to replace Ronald Koeman as coach.
Jol was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last week, but could make a swift return to management with the reigning Dutch champions.
Koeman stepped down to take over at Valencia and PSV general director Jan Reker acknowledged Jol is under consideration.
“I deny there is a replacement yet,” Reker told a news conference.
“We are looking for a Dutch coach with international experience. It’s clear Martin Jol is one of the coaches on our list.
“We hope to announce a new coach quickly.”
