Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is attempting to negotiate a deal for Palermo striker Amauri.

The Brazilian forward has scored 13 times in 31 Serie A appearances this season and has been monitored by a number of interested clubs.

Juventus are understood to be keen to strengthen their attacking options over the summer, and Gigli has confirmed that he will be holding talks with his counterpart at Palermo Maurizio Zamparini.

“The player interests us,” Gigli told Rai.

“The fact we are meeting indicates a will (to seal a deal) between both parties.”

Amauri, who is currently seeking Italian citizenship after being overlooked by Brazil, has admitted that playing for the Bianconeri would be a “dream for any player.”
