Juventus have dismissed reports which suggested the club were considering replacing coach Marcello Lippi.

It had been claimed the club were looking for a new manager, but Juve insist Lippi has their full support.

“In football it is always possible to lose,” said Juve general manager Luciano Moggi.

“Lippi? All we can do is applaud him.

“He has done everything possible in a difficult season. He has a contract and he will certainly stay.

“He is not a topic of discussion.”

Reports also suggest there will be a wholesale clearout atthe club in the summer, with the likes of David Trezeguet, Lilian Thuram and Pavel Nedved all on their way out,, although again, Moggi denied the rumours.

“I don’t understand why we need to change,” added Moggi.

“From December the team has not been the same because many important players have been out.

“Until December we were considered invincible. Now, after injuries, it has changed.

“Trezeguet? He will stay here.”
