Juventus have dismissed speculation that they are keen to replace Claudio Ranieri with Luciano Spalletti.

Rumours surrounding the managerial position at Stadio Olimpico have been gathering pace as a result of Juve’s recent dip in form.

However, a statement released by the club on Thursday has ruled out any move for Roma boss Spalletti and offered the board’s full backing to Ranieri.

“Any talk about Juventus being interested in Roma’s coach is completely without foundation,” read the statement.

“There have been no meetings and we have no intention of appointing Spalletti or any other coach.

“As we have stated on several occasions we are behind Ranieri and that hasn’t changed.”
