Claudio Ranieri has described Mohamed Sissoko is a ‘great player’ after Juventus were linked with a bid for the Liverpool midfielder.
Sissoko has been a long-term target of Juventus, with reports claiming he could be on his way to Italy in the January transfer window.
Sissoko has started just six games in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, and Ranieri, who worked with the player at Valencia, is a confirmed admirer of the Maili international.
“I had the pleasure to coach him at Valencia and I like him a lot,” Ranieri told Italian reporters in Malta.
“I know him very well. He is a great player.”
