UEFA have rejected a plea by Juventus to have their Champions League fixture against Manchester United postponed.
A flu epidemic has swept through the Juventus squad with severall players unable to travel and some of those who made the journey to England, laid low by the virus.
In response to the crisis, Juve requested the match be postponed but UEFA haveinsisted the game go ahead.
“Juventus asked and we’ve turned down the request,” said a Uefa spokesman.
