Germany skipper Oliver Kahn admits he is looking forward to the prospect the prospect of playing in front of the fervent South Korean fans when Germany face the co-hosts in Tuesday’s semi-final.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this before,” said the Bayern Munich goalkeeper.

“When there is a game on, there are literally millions of fans lining the streets – and they are all wearing red shirts. It’s simply amazing.”

“Every one of us wanted to play South Korea in the semi-finals,” he explained.

“We are looking forward to it because we know that it’s going to be a really special occasion.”
