Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn faces punishment by the club after playing golf and spending the night in a discotheque while absent from the team through injury.

“Playinggolf and going to a disco are two different things,” coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

“There will be a fine for that. If you get injured, you must work on getting fit, and a visit to a disco is not necessary in that respect.”

Kahn tore aright thigh muscle in last week’s Champions League defeat at Milan. He missed Saturday’s 3-3 home draw with Hanover 96 in the Bundesliga and is expected to miss Tuesday’s crucial game against Deportivo.
