Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has confirmed he will meet Chelsea officials in Moscow on Wednesday to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge.

“I’m going to Moscow and I’d like to find out finally whether Chelsea want to get me or not,” said the 27-year-old.

The Georgia captain added: “This meeting will clarify the situation. Milan do not want to let me go.”

He has admitted that he first met Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in the United States last year.

Kaladze added: “We got acquainted one year ago when our teams were in the USA in an exhibition tournament and I think I caught the eye of Jose Mourinho.

“With Abramovich it is clear he has football fever.”
