Frederic Kanoute completed his €6.5m move from Tottenham Hotspur to Sevilla.

The 27-year-old Mali international has signed a four-year deal with the Primera Liga side.

He told a media conference: “With a couple of days training I’ll be ready to play and I hope to adapt as quickly as possible.”

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido said that the club may end up paying Spurs an additional one million euros for the striker depending on the number of games he plays.

Kanoute began his career at Lyon before moving toWest Ham in 2000. He joined London rivals Spurs after West Ham were relegated in 2003 and scored 21 goals in 72 appearances while at White Hart Lane.
